It may seem daunting buying furniture online so we've put together some hints for you.

Most important firstly is to get out the tape measure and work out how big your room is. Then draw out the room on some squared paper.

Draw a scale plan of the room and mark doors and windows. Mark out to scale shapes of furniture you're keeping.
Once you have an item in mind get the measurements. The cotswold company has the measurements of all their items available. Cut out a shape in the right floor space size to match the room scale and mark it as the item and then place it on the floor plan. Where will it go? Will it fit with other items in the room. Will it block doors and windows (remember you need to get to the windows to open and close them)
Once you're satisfied that it'll fit in with other items in your room then its all steam ahead!
Is the item in the right colour for your room? Would you have to change anything else? Perhaps they have matching items available that would compliment each other. Does it need any additional accessories?
