| When you own one of these rugs, you own something valuable well beyond the intrinsic beauty of each one. Three generations of craftsmen work on these particular rugs. They begin with hand-spun wool from Bikaner, on the far side of the Great Thar desert. It is then hand-dyed with natural vegetable colours and left to dry in the sun until the weavers are ready to come and collect it before beginning the long weaving process. Finished rugs are then returned to the centre to be washed, checked and finally packed. All rugs are 80% wool woven on weft threads of strong 20% cotton.
